A Clinical Investigation on the Correlation Values of Mixing PTT Tests

Abstract
|

|
APTT tests were performed on the mixture of equal volume of normal plasma with equal volume of patient plasma, which showed significant prolongation of APTT, and the dates concerning correction of the prolonged times with clinical findings were analyzed and following results obtained.
1. Various diseases were their diagnosis in cases corrected, including tonsillar hypertrophy, hemophilia A and so on.
2. The diagnosis of cases of equivocal correction revealed several diseases, including a case of suspected coagulation factor defect.
3. Lupus anticoagulant was verified in two cases among those that showed no correction of plasma mixture, and various diseases such as osteoporosis and liver diseases unravelled in this category.
